金马奖采用的评审团制度与三大国际电影节相同。十几个评委评选最终获奖作品，但奖项设置方式与奥斯卡金像奖相同。专业奖有很多特别的，比如最佳剪辑、最佳音效，那么问题来了:评委的知识不可能那么详细，金马也没有奥斯卡那样的5800名电影专业人士作为投票人，所以专业奖被指责缺乏可信度和说服力。
完善评判机制，优化奖项设置，其实是在增加整个电影节的含金量。奖项贵不贵。我相信专业的评委应该用最专业的眼光去评判最专业的奖项，这比萨达颁发的奖项更能得到广大电影人的认可。

《浮城之谜》获得最佳原创歌曲奖提名，6小时后被撤销
争议事件五:《浮城疑案》《原曲奖》入围资格被撤销
2012年10月2日晚，在第49届金马奖颁奖典礼上公布入围名单，《浮城之谜》以8名入围者成为最大赢家。然而，在结果公布6小时后，电影节执行委员会突然发表声明，称《北京蓝调》和《浮城之谜》的最佳原创电影歌曲提名不符合提名条件，因周云鹏演唱的《沉默的呼吸》和沼泽乐队演唱而被撤销。而且《浮城之谜》的“原剧本”提名也受到质疑。有人指出，剧本改编自网络上的一篇帖子，并非纯属原创。
解读:乌龙每年都有评选标准和眼光，太不专业了
这不是金马奖第一次犯这样的错误:金城武在第45届金马奖上被宣布为杰出的台湾电影制作人，六个小时后，金城武也被称为日本人，因此被取消资格。在第44届金马奖上，王全安的《土雅的婚姻》宣布退出。退出的原因和田壮壮一年前的吴清源类似:“大陆所有的电影不允许角逐奖项，只能参加观摩单位”。
评委的偏好可能是一个无法控制的软标准，但什么是原创，什么样的电影人和电影有资格参赛，都是需要提前明确界定的硬标准。提前选择不够细致，审核标准不够明确。恐怕入围后乌龙事件取消，真的会成为金马奖的绊脚石。
