against的用法

1、against用在fight，strive，struggle等词后面，与with的意思一样，但是against更强调一种困难中的反抗，例如：We fight for the weak against the strong我们为弱者而战，反对强者 。2、against表示反对的意思时，其反义词是for 。3、作为介词时，against后面接的宾语有时可省略 。例如：We have saved some money against our old age.我们存了一些钱，以备老年之用 。

释义：作为介词，（表示两队或双方对阵）对抗；（比较两种不同想法、选择等）与…相对 。
例句：The green debate tends to polarise into science-as-saviour versus science-as-devil camps.

2、oppose
读音：英[??p??z]，美[??po?z] 。
释义：作为动词，反对（计划、政策等）；（在竞赛中）与…对垒 。
例句：Mr Taylor was not bitter towards those who had opposed him.
